Last night Dave, joined by Tim Reynolds, played a special concert at the IU Assembly Hall on behalf of the Democratic Presidential campaign of Barack Obama. It was the first of what Dave said would be many events that he will hold in support of Obama. He said his aim is to get young people excited and involved in the upcoming elections - and yes, I was probably one of the oldest people there.
Lines for the free concert started forming in the early morning hours. The pups and I got in line around 5:30. By time the first student speaker was on stage at 7:00 the stadium was maxed to capacity with about 17,000 screaming Hoosiers.

During the incredible two-hour acoustic performance Matthews offered his endorsement and praised Obama for recognizing the importance of young people in the political process and said he offers a “profound chance, where the most important thing is to inspire our youth.” He also reminded everyone several times that today is the last day to register to vote in the primary election on May 6th.

For my Hoosier friends that have not registered yet: SHAME ON YOU! Today is your last chance. If you need information on how to register, please go here.
Hopefully Indiana will prove to be Billary’s last stand!
Yes. We. Can!
