Obama/Biden

2:38am.  That's when I got my text message. I was thinking how poetic it would be if he sent it out at exactly 3am, but maybe that would have been viewed as a slap in the face to Hillary. Anyway...I can't wait until people really get to know Joe. And I can't wait to see him at the debate! He is a little prone to gaffes, but he knows his stuff, especially on foreign affairs. This is going to be fun!

Not sure how I feel about this yet. Another old, white man who's part of the 'establishment' who didn't support Obama in the first place. Hmmm. I need to do some more research and watch the debates before I completely judge him. :)

I understand the choice, to silence the no experience critics. However if he would have continued on his "change" theme I think he could have thought outside the box a little.

    Here's my concerns:

    1) Biden has made some pretty idiotic, borderline racist and homophobic comments in the past. Not something I would expect Obama to associate with.

    2) Obama's campaign is all about change. How exactly is selecting a man who is old, white and has served in the political arena for 20+ years change?

    3) Biden has not been a fan of Obama. He's said outright that he's inexperienced. Because he can be the VP, NOW he has faith in Obama and his vision?

    4) I think selecting Biden because of his foreign policy experience is great but it also affirms Obama's lack of experience in this area and that is something that the Reps are going to have a field day with.

Like I said, I need to sit back and see what comes of all of this but as it stands now, I would have liked to see a better candidate and as someone who isn't a hard-core liberal it's made me think long and hard about whether or not voting for Obama is going to be the right thing afterall.

So you would seriously consider voting for McCain? You have to give the Democratic Congress the chance to see what they could do with a like-minded President. And if Obama is really the man he says he is he won't stand by and let things go on status quo. Give him his chance, if he proves a failure to you you could always vote different in 4 years. To vote for McCain would mean you like the direction the nation is headed because he is just going to be more of the same things we've had for the past 8 years. Maybe worse.

No, I wouldn't vote for McCain. There are other candidates running for President. A vote against Obama is not a vote for McCain.
